I use a technique of mine where I use compressed air to spray paint at the canvas in controlled bursts, giving the dogs spot. I used the same technique on a previous painting called Cheetah. I was at a drag queen show recently, and for some reason I want to paint an old style key came into mind, so it went into my notepad for later. I aimed to emboss the horse logo by making the main colour the same as the key body, adding highlights and shadow, while creating a recess with darker grey.
