As current students or grads of the Graphic Design program know, Janet Menger has been a mainstay of the program for many years. She's undoubtedly taught many of you illustration or colour theory. Her guidance and encouragement have helped so many thrive. Students have been fortunate to have her expertise to rely on. Janet has announced that she'll be retiring at the end of June. Join the faculty in congratulating Janet. Please send her your best wishes for her retirement. Ja...net, you'll be missed, but never forgotten. We hope you'll enjoy every minute of your retirement. During the Winter 2020 semester, the graduating cohort of Graphic Design students worked as a team to raise funds for their Grad Show. Sadly, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was cancelled. Once the news reached the students, they spoke with one voice. Their decision was to put the money they raised to good use in their community. Together, they decided to gift $2000 to the Ottawa Food Bank. We're proud of our students for supporting those in need close to home.

In light of global events, our grad show, which was to be held on April 9, has been cancelled. Once life goes back to normal and you find yourself looking for help to ramp up your business and get the word out to the world, please reach out to us -- we're available and ready to provide design solutions! In the meantime, please stay home, stay safe and take some time to peruse our work.

Art sale this Friday, Feb. 21 from 9-2, in N206! If you missed out on the last one, now is your chance to grab some cool prints and stickers, designed by the grads! Prices range from $2-$5, and will support the grad show.

You and your friends can get a beautiful Henna tattoo this Thursday, Feburary 13, in room N206! The last henna event did well so we've decided to run it again! The event runs from 1pm - 4pm. All proceeds go to the Graphic Design grad show.

Our pub night last week was a major success! We raised over $1400 and are now so much closer to our goal! Thank you to all who showed up and participated!
