The Alice B. Donahue Library and Archives is excited to offer a free writing workshop for youth offered by Lori Claerhout on Tuesday, November 10th from 2:30-4:00pm on Zoom. Look around: journal writing for youth (ages 12-18) Sometimes there's a lot going on in your head, and it needs a place to go! It can help to get it out in words. Maybe it's all of your creative ideas that keep swirlingand maybe it's your thoughts and emotions. Maybe you just like the feel of a pen in ...your hand, or a fresh document opened and fingers on the keyboard. We won't be looking at grammar and structure: think more ideas and feelings. We'll gather on Tuesday, November 10 with some tools to help those expressions get out. You won't be asked to share (unless you want to!). Video session size will be capped at seven (if we have more, we'll open another time). Lori leads writing workshops for grown-ups who act like kids where we pull from memory, emotion, and imagination to play with words and story. She mends and grows plants and is terrified of bats, even though she knows that they're good. To register please e-mail Cheryl Andrews at [email protected]
