New year, new shade

2020. It was the year I mostly shut down to conserve energy for survival. I pressed pause on the life I knew and had planned- something I swore I’d never do,-because no one is prepared for being a parent during a pandemic and my kids wellbeing, safety, healing, and coping will always come before mine, at least until they have all the tools themselves (do we ever?). 2020 has been one day at a time, take what comes and pivot as needed. I don’t expect 2021 to instantly be viable for thriving but I do have hope that it will bring more space for healing and maybe being able to drop my shoulders a little and hit play again. #breathe #pressplay #feelings #2020 #healing #unstuck #momlife #2021 #create #bepresent #feel

My daughter messaged me from the living room to announce she was ready for our standing afternoon holiday movie date. We’re doing 24 days of Holiday movies and we are at the halfway point. It’s been one more thing the kids can look forward to each day and that makes them and ME happy
