The holiday season is here! One of favourite traditions during the holidays is watching those classic TV shows with our families. That's why ANCC is putting together their first ever Holiday Variety Show! But we need everyone's help to do it. We are looking for people to contribute their talents related to Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. Ideas include skits, dancing, DIY craft tutorials, story telling, music, trivia, magic tricks, comedy, cooking, or anything else you ...have up your sleeve! We will be putting together a collection of all the filmed acts to create a show that will be posted on our YouTube Channel. If you need inspiration, look up shows like Saturday Night Live, Mickey Mouse Club, In Living Colour, All That, The Ed Sullivan Show, or Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. High school students - if covid is making it difficult to complete your volunteer hours, this is a great way to get those hours! We really are working as hard as possible to do as much as we can for our families all while following all the proper protocols and procedures to keep everyone safe! It is such an uncertain time! We are taking advent calendars to a whole new level! Here is how they work: 1. The elves at ANCC are putting together boxes that include supplies to design and decorate an advent calendar, including a 12 day count down of fun activities - one for each day. 2. Your box will be filled with supplies for the secret activities assigned to each day your children.... 3. All activities are holiday themed that the whole family can enjoy. The 12th day will end with a special online holiday show ANCC is putting together. 4. Each box is only $10.00! 5. Boxes will be delivered December 7th - the countdown begins December 12th! Through partnership with the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre, we have raised $69,409.62 since 2014! These funds have been used to help us support our recreation programs, special events, breakfast club/afterschool club and Summer Playground! We have been able to buy a variety of program supplies and recreation equipment to continue to provide enriching programs for Alison Neighbourhood!

Today is the FINAL DAY to vote for our Ward 7 Counsillor - at Cambridge City Hall between 10:00am - 8:00pm! Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre has FREE child care service while you vote, tonight 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Simply drop off your child at the centre - 127 Elgin St N (Inside St Anne School). On Wednesday we took some of our amazing families over to Brantwood Farms to do some apple picking! On the drive over it rained, it poured and it even hailed... but as soon as we pulled in the sun came out and we picked a tonne of apples! Thanks for having us @brantwoodfarms, we had a blast And thank you to all of our amazing families for joining us! We will definitely have to do it again!

Attention Friends and Families of Alison Neighbourhood! There is a P.A Day coming up next Friday, October 9th! To help out any families who do not have child care already lined up, we are offering a P.A. Day Program. This will be a fun filled day for your child and our leaders to participate in the games and activities they enjoy! The fee of the program is $30.00 and the program will run from 9:00am-5:00pm. Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre wants to take the time to thank the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre and The Cambridge Gaming Association for their support during these unprecedented times. Fun Fact: Funds raised by the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre through the Cambridge Gaming Association support over 80 Profit & Not-for-profit organizations in Cambridge. Funds raised are used for various charitable purposes and directly benefit local community programs in right h...ere in Cambridge! What does this mean? As an association member, Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre benefits from funds raised to pour directly into our recreation services and community needs. What does this look like? Funds received directly support nutritious meals and snacks provided at each program, craft supplies, quality sporting equipment, and during COVID-19 it meant the purchasing of additional technical resources to support our staff as we transitioned to working from home. It also supported our adaptation to online programming and summer camp in a box. We cannot begin to measure how much of a positive impact our membership has had on our organization and neighbourhood needs.
