EMSI is very sorry to cancel the live performance of A Baroque Christmas due to the latest public health restrictions, but the show must go on, so the concert will be recorded. We hope to have the video ready for you in time for Christmas, so you can enjoy seasonal music with Jan van der Hooft and friends from the comfort of your home. Tickets will be refunded, but please do consider making an equivalent donation to EMSI if you are able, to help us bring you more virtual Early Music concerts for the remainder of this season. Your generosity and ongoing support is greatly appreciated!

EMSI's Dark Side of Vivaldi Concert scheduled for November 27th, 2020 has been cancelled. EMSI is very sorry to be unable to present The Dark Side of Vivaldi to you this Friday, due to the new public health restrictions. However, we plan to bring you this concert virtually in the new year. Ticket prices will be refunded, but please do consider making an equivalent donation to EMSI if you are able, to help us bring you more virtual Early Music concerts in the coming months. Whats Up! While weve been closed these past couple of months, weve been working hard at the Victoria Conservatory of Music to make improvements to our facilities in preparation to reopen! The redevelopement of our entraceway on Johnson Street is underway and scheduled to be completed for July! This project will include features to enhance accessibilty to our boxoffice and Venues.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM TIMBRE CONCERTS - BIKINI KILL TOUR POSTPONED Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis Bikini Kill have postponed their upcoming NW tour dates which include the concerts in Victoria BC scheduled for March 19th at Distrikt and March 20th at Alix Goolden Concert Hall. We will be working with the band to reschedule these shows for Fall 2020 but in the meantime refunds will be issued for both events.... Note from the band: Bikini Kill regrets to announce that were postponing our NW tour. We take the health and safety of our supporters, crew, and opening bands very seriously, and given the situation in Seattle as well as the lack of information about the actual infection rate of the surrounding areas, it doesnt make sense to us to go forward with any of the shows in the region. Were extremely disappointed, and look forward to rescheduling the dates as soon as we can. Refunds will be offered for all the shows. Our shows in Olympia were going to benefit Interfaith Works Emergency Overnight Shelter who offer shelter and services to homeless people in Olympia, an especially vulnerable population who will be among those hardest hit by the impacts of this health crisis. We are looking for Casual House Managers / Front of House Coordinators Working with the Venues Manager, the Venues Staff are key positions within the Venues Department responsible for the supervision and operation of events at our Venues.... Duties include: Artist / Production Company Liaison Box Office / Concession Sales Event Reconciliation / Cash Handling Coordination of Volunteer Ushers Stage Management A background in music event coordination / stage management an asset. Candidates must be well organized with an attention to detail. Applicants must be physically fit, have strong computer skills, and work well under pressure.
