I love that I get to guide animals. There are so many wonderful things they get to do and show us when the are led properly. This is a clear example of struc...tured guidance. Both Gabby and Cali are puppies, just over 6 months old, and are pictured here in a large forested area, off-leash, executing an amazing "Sit" and "Stay" request. So for those who dont know about the new shop in town... yes it just opened a couple weeks ago. The guy behind it has been in the car world since he was young, ...grew up a horse farmer in solina which led to an interest in machines and vehicles. Then after being taken to a racetrack as a younger the bug struck and it was everything cars after that. Then during highschool and later spent years at a local popular tire and wheel shop, which led to transistion to mechanics where he spent along time at an independent shop. Went through school and has been licenced for awhile after. Then later as change of pace went out west to Saskatchewan for some time where he worked on heavy duty and farm equipment and also for a shop which primarily serviced RCMP police vehicles. He has also been active crew on an alcohol dragster team since the age of 16 which later in life has lead to experience working on Top Fuel dragster teams professionally. Also as a person who likes to help people has spent time on our highways during bad weather in a tow truck for a local company. But after spending years of working for other people and seeing high bills and excessive mark ups decided to make a change. So with most of his inheritance money invested, and a dream of making automotive repair affordable again went out and found a shop in the nicest town ever. So thank you Orono for welcoming the garage so far and with our soon growing staff will be able to serve this town and surrounding area with good deals and great service. Just a good old school type of garage. And yes we do things differently here...as in there is not an hourly rate for most work, it's by the job pricing and deals for parts as opposed to high mark ups of other shops. My 'National Dog Day' Heroes! These two best pals of 5 years had an upset a few months back and ended up fighting pretty badly causing a significant injury ...to one of their ears. Once best of friends quickly became the worst of enemies. After a couple months of working together, I finally have the picture I aimed to get! Reunited are these bestest of brothers! UPDATE: Wow!! We are blown away by the response to this program. We are so excited to host Peterborough Veterinary Outreach. Because of the amount of folks inte...rested, we have decided to change the sign up day from Tuesday to Monday. We know it's short notice - but we want to make sure you don't have to carry your pet around if you don't have to, especially if there are more people than there are spots! HERE IS THE NEW SIGN UP SYSTEM: - For the Sept 1st clinic: 1) Come to One Roof on Monday, August 31st, between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Bring your OW or ODSP stub. There are 8 spots available. If you get a spot, you will be told at what time to come on Tuesday. All spots are between 2 and 4 PM. 2) Show up at 541 Water St. on Tuesday at your time slot. The vet will meet you outside, ask about your pet, then take the pet inside to perform the check. You can watch through the window. To start with, in order to use this free service you must be on OW/ODSP and live in the City of Peterborough. As we see how our first round goes, we will explore expanding these criteria. The vets are currently seeing ONLY dogs and cats. We would love to hear if you are looking for vet care for other animals, and we can reach out to other services in town who could offer care for them. THANK YOU for your patience and excitement as we test this out and tweak it to improve the program as we move forward!!! ******************************************* We are excited to be partnering with Peterborough Veterinary Outreach to provide a free monthly veterinary clinic to folks on OW or ODSP. I'm going to miss this little trouble maker. Billie enrolled in my Puppy Program and made a remarkable turnaround! When I met him, he would jump all over you,... bark incessantly, steal things, and would bite like crazy. After our 5 sessions together, Billie displays a whole new level of maturity and respect. Well I was very excited to go to my store today get it cleaned and all set up for opening back up When I pulled up outside I got upset I have a big wood box with ceramic dog statues that I payed very good money for out of my pocket I display them to decorate and help make our little town interesting Well someone has taken 6-7 of them ... Please do not be late dropping or picking up your dogs I can not keep them past 15 minutes when they are done grooming So the after dropping your dog or dogs off please do not do running around and get tied up in a line up I will only be excepting etransfer for payment no cash at all keep this in mind please When booking appointments please remember if u can’t make it I require 48 hours notice or there will be a cancellation fee charged the day of grooming Please understand that I’m booking lots of dogs in and if u cancel with no 48 hour notice U are putting my business in a spot of not earning money Thank you for understanding

An email I received today from clarington Good Morning, We haven't been given any information about groomers re-opening in Clarington.... We have been told that there are some groomers doing what's similar to a curb side pickup for emergency grooming needs. At this time, we just recommend that they call local groomers to see how or if they are operating at this time.
