You've got bed bugs -- now what? Once your pest control technician has confirmed that you have a bed bug infestation, how do you prepare for treatment of the bed bug issue? The better you prepare, the more successful the treatment will be: 1. Remove all bed sheets from mattresses and wash in hot water, dry and bag 2. Remove all contents from closets and dressers, wash in hot water, dry and bag contents 3. Remove items from walls in bedrooms... 4. Move all bedroom furniture away from walls 5. Inspect and bag all personal items 6. Remove all light switch and wall plug face plates 7. Vacuum all furniture and carpets BEFORE treatment 8. Clear all bedroom floors of all items; clear all shelves 9. Do not leave anything on top of beds or upholstered furniture 10. Remain out of your home for FOUR HOURS after treatment 11. Repeat same process fourteen days later for second treatment See more
