The time has finally come and weve been given the green light for reopening the clinic by our governing body! Please be patient as we navigate our new guidelines so we can reopen in the safest manner for both our patients and staff. We will update you once we are officially open to seeing patients again and outline all of our COVID-19 changes. Be safe

An interesting perspective as businesses re-open:

The days are beginning to become a blur. Weve been closed almost four weeks come Monday and while we, like many other small businesses, are struggling to stay afloat were keeping our heads up and hearts full. We continue to be amazed with the innovation and compassion of our fellow Canadians as they work around the clock retooling their businesses and products to get the much needed PPE into the hands of our frontline workers so that they can continue to work safely. W...hile resources are scarce when a business is forced to close their doors we wanted to be there for our frontline just like they continue to be there for us. We saw a need in our community and we wanted to help so weve donated what stock we had available to help get the PPE into our hospital to protect our frontline. We sincerely hope other businesses that have also closed their doors and have some of these items in stock will consider donating them too. Hair salons, nail salons, dental clinics etc. if youre reading this and have anything to spare the Woodstock hospital needs us and when this is all over Im optimistic the community will support us again They are currently looking for: Latex free gloves unopened packages Face masks of any description they dont need to be in boxes but should be still in the plastic Face shields Disposable isolation/procedure gowns Goggles Hand sanitizer If you have any of these supplies theyve asked you to please email [email protected] Our clinic remains closed as we continue to follow the directive to stay home and stop the spread of COVID-19. We have call forwarding setup should you have any questions or concerns about your current or future denture treatment with us. We will do our best to assist you over the phone until we are able to see you in clinic again. Please be advised that as per a directive from our governing body, the CDO, the office will be closed for non-emergencies beginning March 16, 2020. The CDO will revisit this on April 6, 2020. We will keep our website and Facebook page as up to date as possible in this time. Dentures can also become a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi that cause disease, irritation and unpleasant mouth odors. Taking dentures out at night deprives these microorganisms of a prime opportunity to carry on business as usual and its also a great time to clean your dentures. People who sleep with their dentures in their mouth are more likely to have gum or oral yeast infections and higher levels of proteins produced by white cells that increase inflammation.
