As of today OH&S has written 44 tickets in the province 43 of those going to the worker and only 1 to the employer. All tickets have been a result of fall protection issues. Currently 11 warrants for workers that have failed to appear or pay their ticket. Calgary is leading with 16 tickets. I hear everyone grumble about the new administrative penalties but remember that if you are being safe and doing things right like almost everything you have nothing to worry about! Big changes coming to COR and the NCSO programs. Also legislative changes so more things can have administrative penalties attached for non compliance.
