As numbers in our area rise we have had many inquiries if lessons can be changed to a virtual lesson instead of in-person. The answer is YES. We can easily (with little notice) change the lesson to a virtual lesson.

Hey, we recognize some of these Au-Some Faces!!! Our life and our business is better because we know and are of service to individuals with autism. The individuals in our life who have autism and spend time with us help define the way we do business and the way we see the world. They are our guidepost for the treatment of others. Happy Mr. Rogers Day!!! Today is National Cardigan Day & World Kindness Day. Kindness is one of our principal guideposts for how we make decisions at the Music School. We are excited to be celebrating this day!

Music is not heard. Music is felt. Music is felt for a lifetime and holds within its notes all of our greatest memories.

Did you know we offer 1-2 FREE trial lessons to our new families?! It’s important that new students feel comfortable and confident with us. In our experience it takes new students a visit or two to acclimate to music lessons. We have found that a trial lesson provides a zero pressure opportunity to have some fun, make some noise and see if lessons would be a good fit. We can easily answer any family questions, give a small tour and the student benefits by being able to relax into the space and be themselves. If you or a loved one is interested in getting started with a trial lesson send us message and let’s connect! All you need is yourself and a can-do attitude. No instruments required. We are open 6 days a week and are of service to all abilities and ages from 4-94!!!

Over the weekend, Michelle, Ben and I moved (our home). We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make it a smoother transition. On my personal Facebook I asked for help with getting boxes and so many wonderful families stopped in and dropped some off, including bubble wrap and totes to help! We had offers to help, and even more kind and sweet messages through the week wishing us luck with the move. We even had two fantastic and hungry students help us move ...on the day! We would have been lost without everyone. While I sometimes joke that the school is a second home, because I’m there so much it truly is. Before meeting Michelle the idea that the school could be my full time gig was a faraway dream. I was standing too close and couldn’t see it. Now, three years later everyday I wake up and I can’t wait to get started. We’ve made a lot of changes and went through a lot of growth with the school and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. Thank you to my extended family here at the school for letting my passion and dream of teaching music full time be my reality. I just can’t imagine doing anything else with my life and because of your belief and continued trust and faith in me I will never have to find out. This year has been bananas and it’s not over yet. Mathematics of Vibration..... To understand vibration is to understand the soul

The Adventure Class is collecting much needed items for the Gleaners Food Bank to help support families in our community who are working to overcome barriers like food insecurity. This year has already been exceptionally hard, and for some families it will be even harder as the winter months set in. We want to get involved. We are asking our music families who are able to bring in non-perishable items to the music school. All items collected will be picked up, by the Adventure Class, on Friday, October 30th. As an added incentive, anyone who drops off 2 or more items will be entered into a draw for a month of FREE music lessons!

We wanted to share that with the encouragement of Lisa Newman-Chesher we re-allocated the money collected from the sale of our Causewear/Music School shirts team up that we donated in support of the Beatty family. In this community we are all connected. And, while we didn't have the opportunity to spend time with Brock our hearts and minds were heavy with his tragic passing. What we have learned best from our Music School community is that we are better together. Our hearts, prayers, and thoughts go to Brock, his family and our community who's lives were fuller with Brock in them.

We offer, in-person AND virtual lessons. We teach, Acoustic, Electric & Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, and Banjo. Included in what we teach we offer theory and sight reading. We are of service from ages 4-94, and we honour ALL super powers!!! We also love celebrating friends under the rainbow. We are a safe space to be exactly who you are.

For anyone asking if we are still offering remote lessons, the answer is yes! And, it’s just as much fun!!!

At 46 years young, Rob made the decision to wear teenager shoes all weekend. As a result, he tore a ligament in his foot. More than physical discomfort, he’s feeling the emotional and mental feelings of being humbled by his choice of footwear! Working with crutches to keep the weight off of his foot lessons are still happening. Make sure to give him a bit of tease! Our family uses humour to get through the tough stuff. Also, it’s pretty funny...

Our waiting area is haunted have a seat, if you dare!!! Muahahaha........breath.... ahahahahahahah!!!

As most know we are going through some changes at the school. There is never a dull moment around here! We created a waiting space for our families including some toys (that can be easily sanitized between uses). We are working diligently to provide a safe space for all through all the changes that have come about this year.

We wanted to acknowledge that we see and are watching the upward trend of cases around towns just outside of Belleville of Covid-19. We are diligently making some more changes around the school to provide the safest possible space. We made the hard decision, for many many reasons, to close the storefront and double down on the continued success and safety of our beloved school during this time. We appreciate the support, belief and patience each family has given us while we t...ried growing our ideas. It's been a bananas few months! While we wouldn't change it for the world, we love our music school the most and we are already creating ideas and finding a new found love of what we already had in our own backyard so to speak. We can't wait to share more, keep you on your toes, and be more present while we get back to celebrating each and every person who gifts us with their time and invites us in their life.
