Attention Pandemic Puppy owners.... No cause fur alarm, but this is a great idea from The Red Barn Center. By building confidence in your older puppy in a group setting and unfamiliar environment, this will help solve some of the unique challenges seen during isolation like; separation anxiety, confinement and lack of social skills. Don't dig your heels in, for more information contact the red barn event center today!
We know visits may take a little longer these days but...

We have been informed today that during the lockdown we cannot provide any baths/nail trims unless the service is deemed necessary for medical reasons (e.g. an animal needs to be shaved as a result of severe matting, ingrown toenails need to be trimmed, etc.). Therefore, we will be discontinuing the nail trim clinics for the duration of the lockdown. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Veterinary Association received this new information from the government this morning.
In light of the ongoing increase in COVID-19 cases, the province has announced that all of Ontario will begin a shutdown at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26. The restrictions will remain in effect until Saturday, Jan. 23. During the lockdown Ontarians should stay home to the fullest extent possible by limiting trips outside of the home to those necessary for essential purposes. Veterinary practices can still offer a full range of services, as long as clients do not enter the p...ractice. We will continue to offer curbside service as we have been doing. In order to keep our staff safe, we have a few requests. Please wear a mask when the staff come to your car. For the safety of your dog and our staff, please put your dog’s leash on and remove your dog from the car when the staff person comes to bring your dog into the hospital. Please make sure cats are in their carrier. If you would like to run an errand while your pet is in the hospital, then just let the staff know and make sure you are available by telephone to chat with the doctor. We realize it can be challenging at times to get through on the telephones. Starting Dec. 28, you can also text to let us know you have arrived in the parking lot, to request medication refills, order food or book an appointment. The number to text is 705-230-2687. You may also continue to send emails to [email protected] to request medication refills, ask questions, order food and book appointments. Food can be ordered utilizing the Vetstore by going to myVetstore.ca. Telemedicine will continue to be available for non-urgent cases. Telemedicine appointments can be booked by going to www.allandalevet.com and clicking on the Telemedicine button. Our boarding department will continue to be available for boarding, spa days and puppy playdates. We will also continue to offer nail trim clinics on Monday and Friday afternoons. In lieu of food donations, we are accepting cash donations for the Barrie Food Bank. We realize this is a challenging time for everyone. We are doing our best to continue caring for your family members in as efficient and timely a manner as possible. We appreciate your kindness and patience.
