A massive to the care team that put on our amazing Christmas dinners this week! It was so special to bring the community together for a festive dinner

What is on your Christmas list this year? Santa was live from the north pole this year and had the privilege to ask our residents what is on their list. We are excited to say it's the 8th year in a row that not one of our residents made it to the naughty list.

Today is National Gingerbread Day! Our talented Kitchen Team whipped up a soft glazed gingerbread square for our Residents to enjoy, yum!

Today is Mickey & Minnie Mouse's 92nd birthday, so we at Sidney All Care Residence decided to show up in our best Disney gear to celebrate, spread some joy, and get some All Care Cash!

Saturday November 14th was "National Pickle Day"! For a little fun with our Team, we have been holding a "guess the number of pickles in the jar" contest in our staff room. Don't forget to get your guesses in to Reception before 3pm tomorrow for your chance to win All Care Cash!!

Our first of two special Christmas dinners for our Sidney All Care residents. We are so thankful this time of year to have a very close community of happy and healthy residents.

Sidney All Care Residence is looking for a receptionist who is passionate about helping others and can utilize their excellent customer service skills, with the ability to demonstrate strong computer aptitude and attention to detail. The receptionist is a central point of contact at Sidney All Care and performs a variety of reception duties and also has some scheduling responsibilities, which entails frequent problem solving and the ability to balance the pressures of meeting... scheduling deadlines while delivering efficient, compassionate and courteous customer service. This position is temporary part time with the opportunity to work approximately 24 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Answer and direct calls in a friendly and helpful manner, and take messages as required; Performing office functions and ensuring daily tasks are completed; Greet and communicate with residents, families, guests, team members, volunteers, and all visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner; Coordinating shift coverage for care staff throughout the residence. Qualifications: Minimum of two years’ experience in an office setting; High School Diploma; Post-secondary education in an administration program is an asset; Previous experience as a scheduler or similar role in a health care setting - knowledge of Humanity is an asset. Skills & Abilities: Ability to type 45 WPM Proficient computer aptitude with relevant skills including Windows based computer knowledge; Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and skillfully problem solve; Strong knowledge of general office procedures; Detail oriented; Exceptional customer service; Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Ability to respond efficiently to a fast paced environment; Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others; Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, empathy, and patience in providing quality services to seniors. WORKING CONDITIONS: Available to work weekends, coverage for statutory holidays and vacations as required. This week our Residents gathered for a Remembrance Day Ceremony where they gave thanks to Veterans for their service, and honoured fallen heroes. #lestweforget

Today is World Kindness Day, so Management is hitting the floors at Sidney All Care Residence and handing out the much sought after All Care Cash to our hardworking Team Members to brighten their day!!
