These protocols will mean some changes in our service. - Customers will now be screened prior to receiving service. Name and Phone number will also be required.... - Drivers are now required to wear masks or face shields. Customers are also required to wear masks. - Customers are to sit in the BACK SEAT. The front seat is ONLY AVAILABLE to Customers with mobility issues. - Drivers are restricted from handling customer’s personal items with the exception of wheelchairs/walkers. - Multiple fares/ Ridesharing is prohibited. Customers of different households going to separate destinations are not to share a taxi. (This May Result in Service Delays) - Customers Are Prohibited from leaving personal property in the vehicles to prevent possible contamination. ***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19: As an essential service to Sussex and surrounding areas, Allen’s Taxi Ltd will remain OPEN. This is to ensure that frontline workers, those requiring essential medical services or emergencies, and those needing supplies will have transportation. We will also continue to do deliveries for those who are self-isolating. ... For your safety and the safety of our staff, our drivers have been instructed to disinfect in between customers. We are also asking that all customers please sit in the back seat in an effort to practice social distancing. The exception will be seniors and disabled individuals who cannot physically get into the back. As of March 21, 2020 we will be operating at a lower capacity with only running 2 vehicles. Staff will only be increased on the days CPP, Old Age Security and Income Assistance cheques are issued to ensure recipients can get supplies. Please call well in advance if you require services and avoid ALL unnecessary travel at this time.
