After watching RBG on @netflixca I’d found myself another hero. Empowering women can look like unpopular opinion and difficult conversations. Speak your mind even if your voice shakes.- Ruth Bader Ginsburg *edited to add if you want your own head to Sass and Sparkle Custom Drinkware Spiritual Coffee I can’t tag it!!

Hey Dad? Can you fit my desk for floor sitting? I’m spending a lot of time studying, working, learning and my body can’t sit so much. At least not in a chair! So here’s dad....

Watch for those physical clues. That’s my favorite way of learning. And then changing my behaviour from what I am conditioned to do. Sometimes it’s not even about changing anything. But instead becoming aware of what I do unconsciously. For example, I get all tight in the throat when I’m irritated by something. Which I’m conditioned to believe means that I’m supposed to respond verbally by telling the irritant to fuck right off. And then trying to mitigate the after effects of doing that. If I notice the throat tightening and not judge it- it often goes away without the need for the f-bomb and I’ve changed my behaviour patterns. It’s work. But it’s really amazing! I’ve been revisiting #waynedyer work in #changeyourthoughtschangeyourlife and it is soooo good.

Some thoughts I had in the shower this morning. Does the idea of living a purposeful life stress you out thinking about the things you have to do? I’ve been there. My ‘purpose’ felt like something I had to find outside of me. And I spent a lot of time on outward expression of that. The magic happened when that incorrect assumption of what purpose was wore out and I got interested in learning about myself and cultivating me and fully understanding that my purpose is to develop... a deeper knowing of who I am. It makes shit more fun. Less expectation. More joy. Try this for today. Wait to respond. It’s typical for us to give an answer, an opinion, a response immediately to something or someone. Take the opportunity today to wait to respond and wait for your inner knowing to give you the answer. If you can’t hear or feel that inner pulse just keep practicing. Again, we’ve spent a lot of time searching for answers outside of ourselves. Give it time! Let me know how it goes! See more

This may be hard to hear- but it’s a total Posted @withregram @the.holistic.psychologist Breathe deep this can be very triggering to the ego. A wounded ego lives in fear. This causes us to unconsciously attempt to control everyone around us. We believe the ego illusion that if we can just ‘get’ someone to see things, they’ll change.... This causes so much of our own suffering. True accountability is an internal process. True accountability means we do the work to integrate what we have become consciously aware of + become active in making choices in alignment with our new awareness. It cannot be forced onto someone. It must be chosen. When we attempt to control, pressure, or force change in others what we are feeling is fear. Breathe deep. Remind your inner child the only thing you can control is the way in which you respond #selfhealers

How many times have you noticed that it’s the little quiet moments in the midst of life that seem to give the rest ‘extra special meaning’? - Fred Rogers Slowing down has never been an easy thing for me to do. I think I’ve always felt that productivity, and specifically the number of things I could churn out daily, was a measure of my worth. I’ve done a lot of work on this conditioned belief that I picked up somewhere along the line. And the hard work (haha! How ironic. Working hard to figure out that it’s okay to be still) has had rewards. I never before would have allowed myself to welcome these quiet little moments. Of stillness. Of what would be considered low productivity. But I’m glad that I have because it makes the rest of my life extra special. Find those moments today.
