All-Over Carpentry

This journey started 6 years ago when I bought my first house with the sole purpose of renovating it. My renovations started by gutting the basement completely. This is post is about what became of the bathroom. First we broke absolutely everything, all the way past the concrete. We then dug up the old plumbing and moved the toilet, shower, & sink rough in, and the main stack! Then started the rebuilding, step 1: Pouring the concrete and framing the walls and bulkhead. Step... 2: Add some outlets, and 3 pot lights for fancy lighting and to top it off, a bathroom fan. Step 3: We drywalled mudded& taped everything. Step 4: We added some pretty tile to the shower and floors. Step 5: making the vanity; the counter top consits of a custom made butcher block with a stain that matches the custom frame of the mirror. Seemed like a good day to start building some doors for the bathroom vanity! Have the rails and styles dry fitted, then going to cut the prices for the center. We have come to the final post on this table! And all I can say is how happy I am with how it turned out! After 50L of epoxy we are finally finished this amazing project. Here are the last couple steps To get this amazing gloss finished we used uvpoxy by @ecopoxy , and did a dirty pour over the top and sides. Once this cured properly we sanded the bottom to 4000 using @mirkacanada to get the perfect finish. The legs are 3"*1/4" metal that was bent into rectangles, and paint...ed black. It is now in its forever home and the client couldn't be happier. We are getting close to the end! This was our second last phase. Once the river epoxy fully cured we used the @shapertools to cut in the old logo which we filled with epoxy tinted using cavier pigment. And the new logo using epoxy tinted with blue chalk. Once they fully cured we removed the excess and sanded to 320. We also sanded the river to 320 aswell so the next layer of epoxy would adhear properly. Next we put the table into a new set of forms so we could have nice squ...are table which was requested by the clients. A few months ago I was commissioned to build an epoxy river table for my client. But in true Oliver fashion we thought a river table would be too simple (having never built one before) so.... we decided to add in a construction site which represents my clients excavation company. Started with a solid 8' long 8" diameter elm branch, we split it to create the sides. we then set up the placement of the toy excavation equipment. We cleaned up the logs to be 4" thick so that we could fit in all the excavation equipment! Stay tuned to see what came next!
