Anyone else ready for a sugar rush this week? I love all the Christmas baking! My personal favourites that feel like Christmas to me: Caramel Squares ~ made by my mom since I was a kid...I could eat a whole pan by myself Peanut Butter Confetti ~ growing up my Nana always made them for Christmas and now I've taken over the tradition... Scottish Shortbread ~ my Granny was Scottish and used to send us the most delicious shortbread every year! Here's some truth talk. I'm not a big gift person. I appreciate every gift I am given, don't get me wrong, but the best gift to me is spending time with a good friend talking about all the things deep in our souls. That lights me up in a way I can't describe. I want you to gift my services because of the impact I know the experience & knowledge will have on the receiver. That being said, my wish for you is to spend time with your loved ones, even over the phone or video cha...t. The best gift you can give to someone is your time and really hearing them. Did you ever play dress-up as a kid? I sure did. I loved putting on oversized clothes and creating different outfits The part I love the most about 'playing dress-up' now is when I see the shift in you. When you start to see yourself a little differently because you have given yourself permission to see a new version of yourself. The version you have been striving for. ... Lest We Forget Taking some time today to remember all the sacrifices that have been made for us to live in the freedom we do. This is my grandfather who was a navigator in world war ll. His dedication and sacrifice, along with so many others', gives us a reason to pause and reflect today. ... This beautiful man created a beautiful family with his war bride and my Granny. He passed away in April this year, just shy of his 98 birthday. I am grateful for the life he lived and for the family I have because of him. ~xo
