It's quite challenging to photograph a large runner well (this one is approximately 36" x 96"), especially when open floors pace is very limited. This is the piece that came off the loom before redressing it. It's a linen warp and handprocessed and spun farm yarn. The blue stripes are a naturally dyed indigo, and the dark stripe from one of our very first lbs named Izzy. She's gone now, but I kept some.roving (procesed at @freeltonfibremill ages ago) of hers. I wanted to do something special with it. I'm just waiting for my fringe twister to arrive to finish it completely.

Winter days are perfect for working with wool. Dressing the loom, getting the wool washed, picked, carded, and spun with people powered tools in preparation for the next wool rug. Lambie cuteness! I think the one month mark is when lambs begin the super cute phase. They run, jump, gambol, nibble, explore, and just plain love life, and their burgeoning independence. With milking winding down for the season other activities come to the forefront. This is a super high tech way to filter the base for ink. This is really just old coffee...strong coffee. Neville Lambbottom has never lost his desire to follow us around. Being last year's single bottle baby he grew up with the puppers, cats, and us. He became very bonded to us, especially Tim. He now lives with the other sheep, but is always a bit of an oddball. It took him a long time for him to learn how to "sheep". Being alone is something most sheep don't like. Neville has no problem wandering around on his own. This has gotten him in a bit of trouble in the past. He has n...o qualms squeezing his fat little body into a doorway to see if there's food in the other side. Nor does he mind walking up to strangers.
