Reality. Being a makeup artist is amazing - I can use makeup to fix so many things about myself that I’m insecure about. I know how to contour, highlight, accentuate - all of the things that make the biggest differences in how you look. Things are not always as they seem. I struggle with adult cystic acne, combination skin, oily patches, watery eyes - you name it. Just because I know how to hide it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. When you see beautiful makeup applications on ...the internet and you think, Why don’t I look like that? Remember. Under that makeup is a normal, uneven skin toned, average person. Don’t be so hard on yourself - everybody has their own imperfections. Makeup is amazing. So are you.
