I was at the Be Brave Ranch last week with our OJ's HEART Cart, I am so grateful to have had many tours of the ranch over the years, yet somehow I missed this until last week. This is part of the art therapy program Little Warriors There are so many beautiful expressions of the kids hearts and souls here. ... I was moved to tears, then in the corner I saw these sticks... Warrior Sticks When a child or teen attends the program at the ranch they are asked to make their very own warrior stick, to design it any way it speaks to them. And this what they have made To me these are a symbols of bravery, and courage. Just one more indicator for me of the incredible life changing work that the team does here. I am personally so grateful for everything they all do everyday. I have always been drawn to fall. It has always been special to me. I was born in the fall, got married in the fall, and LOVE Halloween! To me though, fall feels like an accumulation of so many things, it’s the time to bring in the harvest of all the hard work through the summer,... Yet it also somehow feels like a fresh start, like an opportunity to grow and deepen in who I am and what I want to bring to the world. When it happened to me recently I was confused as to why I was feeling backed into a corner As I gave myself space to think the situation through it became clear to me that two of my values, integrity and courage were being held against one another... Its interesting when we can begin to bring awareness to what we value and why Its kind of like turning on a light , once its on, once you see, its impossible to unsee I know so many of us struggle with values conflicts, your not alone...
