Funding for the East Parry Sound Mobile COVID-19 Assessment Centre will wrap up on February 19th, 2021 due to changes made by the Province regarding testing. Clients from the East Parry Sound area can obtain symptomatic testing by calling 705-774-8378, however you will be required to present yourself at the South River EMS station for your swab. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to host the mobile assessment centre within the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre and thank Parry Sound District EMS for their work during these times.

A great option, covered by OHIP and generally most reason you would visit a walk-in-clink can be addressed through the online walk-in-clinic. The retry to school can be difficult even during a "normal' school year. These current times, however, are not an experience to which anyone can relate. Supporting our communities youth during these strange times is very important. A friendly reminder of the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Units mandate of mandatory masks (age and medical exemptions) for the area. Please continue to keep a distance of two meters from others unless impossible.

Ontario Telemedicine Network has an office within the Health Centre. Offering virtual care through a teleconference, patients can avoid excessive travel, costly hotels and more. Speak to your family practitioner to learn more about the free services provided by OTN. https://otn.ca/patients/

What a wonderful gesture of appreciation. The staff within the Centre have been diligently working to not only continue to provide services to the community but also doing so while protecting the community. With many similar services closed in other neighboring communities having access to excellent staff and services here in Burk's Falls is very much appreciated. Well done everyone!
