Entering Week #10 in the new dojo !! Thanks to the entire community and points beyond for your overwhelming support this season. Judo is alive and well, albeit different, but we are grateful.
Our new season will commence as planned, Wed Sept 2 !! Pieces are falling into place, including a new practice facility until Covid restrictions are relaxed. Exciting times
Have been working on plans for a return to judo on September 2. Still lots of details to pin down, and pending provincial and sport approval, but optimistic we will return amidst numerous safety measures and guidlelines. One thing virtually for certain - every judo practioner will require a proper fitting mask. Please source one or more for yourself/your children if not already in possession. The Club will look after the sanitizer, temp checks, space requirements, and all new protocols. It will be different, but there should be a gradual return to normalcy. Thanking all current and prospective members for their loyalty and support during these challenging times. Stay tuned !!
A great day in Gatineau !! Solid competition, good times, and of course medals and memories. Congratulations to all 11 Almonte competitors. A big thanks to parents and to Sensei's Chenoa, Pat, and Dan (all pictured) as well as Sensei's Curtis, Rob, and Sylvain who coached our athletes. Sensei Gord performed referee duties for the day.
Our Senior class welcomed Canadian Nage no Kata Champions Shane Rooney and Bailey Hu for the past two weeks. A great time was had by all .
