What do we take for granted? With all of the restrictions on public gatherings in place for our safety, many of us are remembering and missing the moments when we were gathered together with our brothers and sisters in Islam, whether at our local masaajid or in Makkah and Madinah, near the Haramain. Every difficulty is an opportunity to be grateful to Allah for the blessings He had given us before that perhaps we took for granted.... When the Hujjaj make that long walk towards the jamaraat, voices raised, bodies aching and tired and overheated...they push onwards because they know that they will reach the end of the tunnel...reach their destination. We push through many tunnels in our lives, and especially now, with Covid_19 we need to keep that hope in mind, keep patient and put one foot in front of the other.
