We are butchering chickens at the farm tomorrow, in preparation of the Aloha Festival feasts! We could use some help if anyone cares to lend a helping hand : ) Cindy Lee can drive you up in the early am and will be back in Regina by sundown, or you can stay the night. Never done it and don't know what you are doing? That is okay! We will walk you through it!!
The Aloha Project is looking for 2 full time employees to work on the farm between July 1 and September 1. You will be helping to grow a garden, fruit trees, raise pigs, chickens and guinea hens. We will throw some excellent parties that you will help to organize and run. No experience necessary as you will be supervised and taught how to do the chores and tasks. Marketing and grant writing would be excellent skills to have but are not required to do the jobs. Apply by em...ailing [email protected] or by texting your resume to 3066992678. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age. The job is based 30 minutes easy if Regina near Fort Qu’Appelle. Accomodations are available at the farm free of charge if you prefer that option. We are only five days away from the cute and quaint Aloha fest 2019!! Check out our jam packed schedule of hands on workshops and musical festivities that we have planned for you throughout the weekend. Just a quick reminder that this year the Aloha festival will have free admission!! There will be delicious farm to table feasts prepared by hosts and festival participants (Cash only- $10 lunch/$15 supper) Be prepared to get your hands dirty : ) We want to send a huge thanks t...o all our volunteers, workshop hosts, musicians, performers and participants in making this project and festival a success- not only this year but going back to day one! Work hard, Play hard, Rest hard!! Free concert at the Aloha farm tonight! Sk. very own 'Local Group' will be kicking off the weekend with some sweet bluegrass tunes. Feel free to camp the night and BYO instruments for a campfire jam! If weather is not kind, no worries!! We will move into the house or quonset :) Reminder that the orchard planting party will begin tomorrow at 9am! Bring appropriate footwear and snacks.
