Lets talk about COVID19 and how Alpha Dental Care is being vigilant inside our office. Sterilization protocols in Alberta are some of the highest required in Canada, and we have always been sure to meet and exceed these expectations. Dental offices have always been in a position where we deal with potentially communicable diseases, which is why we have access to tools that significantly reduce the risks to ourselves and patients. The HVE (high volume evacuation) system reduc...es aerosols by a minimum of 95% - and with heightened measures in place we are now taking the additional step of having patients rinse with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution at the beginning of their appointments to even further reduce the risk. Our PPE requirements have been increased to ensure the safety of our team members and patients, along with temperature checks and screenings for all persons entering our office. As of May 14th Dentists in Alberta are permitted to return to full provision of services. The Dental Hygiene Association is allowing our Hygienists back to provide hand scaling only at this time. To ensure the safety of our patients and team we are currently operating from 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday, with limited providers. All appointments that were booked prior to May 4th have been cancelled and we will be calling patients to reschedule as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. UPDATE: Alpha Dental Care has been notified by the Canadian Dental Association that we have to reschedule all non essential dental treatment for the next two weeks!
