All of the pilots at Alpine are amazing at what they do! The weather sure did cooperate over the last couple of months and this allowed for some spectacular flying. Thank you for getting us there. : @suezzeq : Bell 206

Just a reminder, Don’t throw rocks over the edge of cliffs! Why? Hikers or climbers may be below you and it can cause harm or maybe even death! Did you know...... a 1lb rock travelling 300m through the air can reach speeds of 277km/hr. That 300m measurement is roughly the length of the face of Yamnuska which is popular with climbers and hikers. So, it may seem fun, even kinda cool... but don’t throw rocks over cliffs please. On August 28th, our Canmore Rescue Helicopter was dispatched by our friends from Parks Mountain Safety for an injured climber on Mt.Louis. Visitor Safety Specialists were longlined onto the scene and were then able to move the patient to a better location away from overhanging terrain and potential rockfall. The patient and his partner were extricated using the longline to a nearby staging area.
