We were hoping this day wouldn't come -but sadly it has. With sadness we are sharing the news that Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort will not be operating during the 2020-2021 season. We wish the staff of Wapiti Valley all the best in the year to come and look forward to when we can return in the 2021/2022 season.

Our Program Director was seen doing his happy dance a couple of weeks ago at Kinsmen Ski & Snowboard Center (AKA-Little Red) -but you should see him dancing now! We're very excited to announce that Mission Ridge Winter Park opened their tube park today and the full resort will open December 26th! Table Mountain has also announced an anticipated opening date of January 8th! and Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort will be making an announcement later this week! We are super excited to be heading back to the hills -stay tuned for further updates -and for the most up to date information regarding the resorts please check their websites or facebook pages.

Although we might not be on the slopes quite yet -SKAlpine is still busy behind the scenes and wanted to pass on a message and opportunity from Girls Fast Forward for our female athletes. Hello from Girls Fast Forward, We recently had Erin Mielzynski on our GFF Athlete Chat and she announced her Training Bib opportunity for all ski racers, who identify as female, in Canada. Erin wants to leave a piece of her at home while she is traveling around the world competing on the ...FIS World Cup circuit. Erin, with the help of a few of her sponsors, have created two different training bibs that she will wear throughout the season while training. She wants to share these bibs with young ski racers around Canada to help motivate them to continue ski racing and to be inspired by everyone's hard work and passion for skiing. She created this bib initiative to inspire girls to believe that being strong is beautiful! #DefineYOURBeYOUtiful #THISisBeYOUtiful Here is the link that you can share with any ski racers, who identify as female, in your club or on your team. It is a google doc with a few questions to apply for a bib from Erin Mielzynski Erin bib application For more information on the bibs check out Erin's facebook post: https://fb.watch/2fMyk-ljV2 Please share with any females that ski race and live in Canada! We are so excited to share this project for Erin in BC and to share her passion for skiing and ski racing! Cheers, GFF Crew

This awesome pumpkin was carved by Sask Alpine's Alexis Elder! Sorry I'm a day late in posting! Great job Alexis! Just a reminder -many clubs have their registration open for the 2020/2021 season -and the ACA form has been updated in the SaskAlpine website. If you completed the form this fall that was listed as "2019/2020" its all good and we have your info -just a technical glitch with the date change.
