This Bailando dress was just stunning on this amazing lady. The sleeves were just so pretty.

The customer fell in love with this beautiful lace dress and bought it despite it being way too large. It was a lot of careful work to complete it. We always do many fittings if needed

The back of your dress can look like a work of art between a beautifully lace shaping and a great bustle

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 28.09.2021

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 27.08.2021

The back of this dress is utterly beautiful. Her bustle is done in layers to keep down bulk.

This dress fit well when she bought it. Covid delayed her wedding. If your seamstress is skilled, nobody can tell .........

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 10.08.2021

This mother of the bride dress ended up fitting like a glove.

Our first prototype mask for beards. No more mask wrinkles on your beard. No more looking like a lion.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 19.07.2021

We created some masks for weddings this weekend.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 10.07.2021

This canadian made dress really needed work in the bust area. It turned out so well.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 04.07.2021

This dress was really waay too big. It now fits her to perfection.

This gorgeous Grad dress from The Dress Lounge needed a few tweaks. She is testing her mask over another mask for the picture. We added a slit to the dress. Such a beautiful pink!!

A lovely lady asked me to make a DRAFT DODGER. She picked out this sweet doggy cotton print. I made the separate liner out of waterproof jacketing. She filled it with cat litter. It has hanger straps. Smart idea to keep the cold at bay!!!

We all need a smile today. This 6 month old donkey ditched his blanket and tore it up very quickly. We lined it with polar fleece, added some great livestock buckles, added a tail cover, and changed the leg attachment system. So darn cute!!

We also can build cushions for various seating arrangements. I do use the proper density of bench foam. We add a bit of cushion wrap to enhance the look and feel of the cushion. I carry luscious vinyl remnants in lots of colors. The turquoise cushion is Sunbrella... Aruba.

Imagine you have a great couch with down filled cushions. Lots of use later there is down creeping out to make your life missrable. We took on the challenge of recovering the two cushions with zippered down ticking covers. Gabriela did a great job on these. We can do RV and outdoor cushions. We are very picky about UV resistant threads, just love Sunbrella because of it's amazing properties AND if you actually use a proper cushion fiberfill, you can just leave your cushions outside to enjoy... not another thing to worry about when it rains.

This dress was worn by three generations....in 1972, 1995, and 2020. Zoe washed it carefully and we reworked the bust area, added a corset back, added in crinoline. The journey to completion was very joyful. Thanks for the pictures, Zoe!!

A customer asked me to make a memory apron, using a collar and button tab. This gentleman is a talented musician and guitar player. The rest of his shirt went into another project by others. This is going into a fund raiser. There is a pocket so perfectly matched it visually disappears.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 25.12.2020

We had lots of fun with this wonderful casual lady from Vegreville. She works at a dealership... wore cowboy boots. This picture makes me smile!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 12.11.2020

This dress started off as a thin internet dress that you could see through. We added corset back, lining, crinoline, shoulders and sleeves.. it morphed into perfection.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 03.11.2020

When this bride came to me, the bodice of the dress was really overwhelming. We enjoyed working on this dress!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 16.10.2020

One of my clever customers faced a situation where a close family member died. She was so worried about Covid and easily obtained some N95 masks. She asked me to design a cover for an N95, so it was not obvious what she was wearing. This is a single pleated layer that covers the mask. We can make it up in any of our great cottons

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 16.10.2020

We all have dining room chairs, that start to get a bit dirty. The original manufacturer's foam perishes after three years on average. You put up with it but really notice the seat starts getting uncomfortable when playing cards. We just put in a new foam combo in my seats. You do not ever hit the wood with this system. This vinyl feels like leather and can just get a wipe. Love my chairs.

Imagine getting married in a castle. We have Ryan's Castle in the Edmonton area that is available for special events. This dress ended up fitting her like a glove!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 13.09.2020

This dress was so large when it came in that we could easily add deep pleats to the French bustle suits her dress.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 10.09.2020

This dress just gleamed like a pearl on this lovely bride. When we bustle a dress, we study what will look like a sculpture on the back of the dress. All of our bustles are different for each dress. A French bustle suited this dress.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 28.08.2020

Sugar skulls are really hard to find. Am hunting down hockey team fabrics too.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 11.08.2020

Some fun new prints. The marbled masks are not so monolithic in appearance.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 23.07.2020

A little girl loves these so much that the bunnies got separated from their blankets. Kinda fun to fix this

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 17.07.2020

Some masks. We are selling quite a few of them as people go back to work.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 07.07.2020

This dress turned out very well..the bustle is layered, so it looks lighter and airy

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 22.06.2020

Thanks for the grad picture. My team just totally enjoys working on these garments

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 18.06.2020

This stunning grey dress was purchased pre-Covid in New York, a special trip. The vertical netting was quite a bit of cutting to hem the dress. The turquoise dress was just glorious on this young lady.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 04.06.2020

Oh my, so many lovely young ladies went through here recently with grad and wedding dresses. It is great to hear the innovative ways they are choosing to celebrate. We all need joy in our world. We made masks from hem scrap to add to the fun.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 23.05.2020

Lots of grad dresses left here this week. Here are a few of them. We made masks for many of them. The girl in blue put her mask on over her other one...

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 07.05.2020

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 15.04.2020

I found this cute Pokemon print in Tokyo years ago. Just a small piece. Some little boys will get a surprise.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 30.03.2020

Some of the masks that headed out today.. thanks to all of you

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 11.03.2020

Some new patterns in stock. The camo cotton comes from Japan... beautiful weave. This plain light blue is called fog. The flowered one reverses to turquoise.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 03.03.2020

I heard that Costco was going to require customers and staff to mask up as of May 4. I called to verify it. It was really interesting to read the comments from people on St. Albert Chat who said they were not going to shop there as a result... wonder how long they will be gone...... it got rather tiring and ugly.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 13.02.2020

Lots more masks left today. I am ordering some gorgeous batiks as well. Kona has 365 plain colors. The black is truly saturated, very impressive!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 29.01.2020

We started to think about our brides. Such crazy fun in our sewing room today. Because of the extra details these will cost 55 to 60.00 each. Same great fit as the others

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 12.01.2020

Lots if people own these great Costco comfy chairs. If they get wet, not fun to sit on. We created a sunbrella cover that has an elastic shock cord to slip over these chairs.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 02.01.2020

This system allows the mask to fit all heights of ears and faces. You can choose elastic button back for the kids or cord lock style. The masks are two layers of Kona cotton or higher thread counts. You can wear these with glasses. There is a wire in the nose bridge for fit to your nose. You can fold a filter like a stick to insert it and then fan it out inside. Adult cord lock is 20.00 Kids cord lock or elastic back is 15.00

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 23.12.2019

Yesterday we got in a large shipment of Kona cotton plains plus a new camouflage print. More orders were completed. We mailed some to a lovely lady fighting cancer in British Columbia, whose doctor said should always be masked... she wants to have fun with pretty ones. We also sent more masks to a Saskatoon family member who loved our other ones. The process is that I will text or message you with choices of colors that we have currently on hand. Some names on messenger are buried, so please text me so I can get your order done. My apologies for missing you. Some photos...

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 04.12.2019

More masks left today. We need to make more small ladies choices, boys choices. Marcin of MD distillery found a great scientific print, which is now on order. Marcin showed great kindness to give my med student niece hand sanitizer. Drop by his place for a free cute hand sanitizer and sample that lemon vodka! There are some of my masks in his store.... same price. There are some wicked fun combos... coming. See more

Camo masks can be a family affair

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 04.11.2019

Kids masks: It was process figuring this out and chatting with parents. The kids masks come in two sizes. Mask with Elastic around ears with a button back. This is the safest option for an active child. The size up to age 5 will not have a nose wire and will have elastic button back.... At age 6 to 8 you might want elastic back for safety depends on the child. Ages 9 to 10, it will be your choice. There is only a slight difference between the adult small and the kids large in terms of time, etc. Prices: Kids elastic back or cord lock 15.00

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 16.10.2019

We finally got lots of mens large masks done. Many people got masks. Such joy in the sewing room as we thought up great combos. My team is just so creative, skilled and wonderful to work with. We are all happy to be working instead of the alternative. Thanks!!! Tomorrow I will cut out more to build the complements to what we are creating. I do have some plain mediums, larges and smalls. We need to add in the fun ladies ones and kids ones so we can share them to you on Monday. Will be contacting more people tomorrow.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 05.10.2019

We got a lot of masks finished off on the last few days. I will be messaging you tomorrow and Sunday to get your orders filled. We did some children s masks today. There are some really fun combos coming up. I will post a few pics tomorrow.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 25.09.2019

Today was busy! We now have cord in lots of colors: Turquoise, purple, Kelly green, mustard, olive, coyote brown, neon yellow. My family is helping cut cord, sear it to prevent fraying, then put on a bead and cord lock. We got the two surgical gowns done for the dentist today. A lovely lady from one of the local building supply store had ordered masks for her staff after noticing our design on one of my customers . She got them today. Tomorrow we will get lots more done. Wish I could have hugged you Jaime!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 09.09.2019

Today we are building two surgical gowns for a dentist who has an emergency dental visit tomorrow. In the correct type of material I only had an eggplant color. More masks are also being made as well. I bought some superhero quilting cottons for kids masks. Kinda thin quality, will put another layer under it.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 31.08.2019

Thanks to all of you for being so kind and patient. My med student niece in Regina got her masks today plus MD distillery of St Albert gave her free hand sanitizer. A large order of beautiful Kona cottons is getting shipped tomorrow. Great colors. Even found more camo. One family bought a bunch of camo masks. Wont that be a fun picture!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 23.08.2019

Just some of our masks. The purple one is Indonesian Ikat. So pretty!

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 21.08.2019

These are dark days.... because of the charcoal fabric getting cut and sewn up to complete orders. Most men are not keen on feminine colors, or florals. I did threaten my three large brothers with glow in the dark bunny masks. haha. Not sure when the Montreal order will come so bought more Kona cotton in charcoal and two greys. Cut it all tonight for my amazing tailors. More orders left today.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 18.08.2019

About our masks: They are 100 percent cottons. We are using high grade cottons mainly from my huge stash. Many of these retail at far above quilting cotton prices. For my plain cottons, I have ordered Robert Kaufman Kona cotton which is top end. It should be here next week. I did get some locally as well to tide me over. I have 4 highly skilled people using industrial equipment to build these masks some working remotely on porch pickup. The masks are reversible. You ...can go fancy or plain, or all plain. I will message you to choose from the selection on hand. If I can get your cell number, I can text you pictures of choices in your size. Our aim is for really great fit and comfort. There is side openings for your filter of choice. SIZING: Small - petite build and face Medium - normal build around around 5 ft 4 range Large - around 6 ft with normal face, or shorter with full rounder face Xlarge(the tarp) for the big dudes. Kids: Small - kids up to around 5 to 6 years. We use button Elastic for safety. Large - large age 6 to 9 or if petite - older cord lock usually. Prices: 20.00 each plus Gst for adults 10.00 each plus Gst for kids The cotton is pre shrunk. We discovered the cord will shrink with hot water likely hot dryer.

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 04.08.2019

We now have quite a few smalls, but to complete orders, are making lots of charcoal/grey reversible masks in medium and larges... color depends on your mood I ordered large bolts of beautiful Robert Kaufmann Kona cotton from a wholesaler in Montreal today. One mask went to pharmacist who is flying up north today where they are out of masks. A pair went to a couple who are heading into the hospital today - he is having a pacemaker inserted. Another pair went to a young m...an who had told his mom he didnt need one, then found out he needed to fly on business and took his girlfriend. My rotary cutter blades are disposable. We are doing a lot of cutting. The talented man who sharpens my scissors took on the task to try to sharpen my blades. How kind! Those blades are sold out. See more

Mariellen Meszaros Professional Seamstress 19.07.2019

Good morning. Please use medium temperature on your masks. Soap and water is just fine. The nylon cord will shrink almost 1.5 inches with higher temperatures. We just tested it and was surprised. We used hot water to test it.
