And the scientist of the month is Max Theiler! Max Theiler was born in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1899. In 1951, he won the Nobel prize for medicine for his discoveries on the yellow fever and how to fight it. He then becomes the first African to win the prestigious prize.

And the scientist of November is... Maude Abbott! Maude studied at the faculty of medicine at Bishop's University in lennoxville between 1890 and 1894. She will be the only woman enrolled in medicine at her time. She will then perform a study on the functional noises of the heart.
