We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken, and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain. I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, black, brown and anything in between, I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now, Think about that unease that you felt watching that Target being looted, try to imagine how it must feel for black Americans when they watch themselves being looted every single day. Because that...’s fundamentally what’s happening in America: Police in America are looting black bodies. As everybody is aware, we sit in trying times on our planet right now. There is nothing that I can say that will make any sense of anything, and there's nothing I can say that will bring comfort to anyone regarding the situation. The fact of the matter is, African Americans in the United States have been systemically discriminated against for as long as they've been there. Canada is not innocent either. Before anyone pipes up and claims that it's not that bad and that black officers kill white civilians sometimes too, just stop. You either very clearly don't understand the issue, are on the wrong side simply to be there and be against the grain, or ignorant to the entire world around you. Please, join your community and stand up for the injustice that we all clearly see on a day-to-day basis. On Friday, June 5th, 2020 there will be a coordinated and peaceful protests taking place at City Hall in Medicine Hat, Alberta. While these protests (and many many others), are intended to be peaceful, we all understand that that sometimes doesn't turn out to be the case. We are asking our community to do their best in ensuring that peace is maintained, but encourage people to have an exit strategy or path of protection should something break out. Hey everybody, Bonky with the Alternative Waves community here. We just wanted to give everyone a little bit of a clearer picture of what's going on with the festival in light of everything going on in the world! I want to start by saying that we understand the severity of this virus and the need to respond to that in the various ways we have all hopefully been already practicing (self-isolation quarantine etc.). Due to the unpredictable nature of this pandemic, we are mon...itoring the situation and preparing possible backup plans for if we need to move to a later date. We will be making an announcement in May, in which we will be announcing the final dates of the event, tickets' availability and all the details surrounding the event. We don't want to postpone our festival or any of our events as we understand especially now that these are some things people really were looking forward to in light of all this. We also understand the need to keep everyone safe and work together in the midst of this to stay positive. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the virus.

After talks between bands and The Mainliner Pub. We regret to inform you that this show has been postponed for now, due to COVID-19. The Mainliner Pub is still open for business and we will let everyone know when this is rescheduled. Sending hope out to those worried about work!
