This is our last week in the office until the New YEar and we have lots of exciting things planned. Three great online sessions with our wonderful team of facilitators....register NOW you still have time.

Oh what great times we had! This would be the week we would host our annual "Breakfast with Santa". I miss seeing all of the hussle and bussle of the season in the basement of the United Church! So much JOY!j Let's hope we can bring this back next year! Until then...stay home and stay safe!

We were informed of scheduled maintenance to the water system at the Red River Regional Water Treatment Plant Reservoir. It is possible that regular maintenance... can compromise the safety of a water supply. A precautionary boil water advisory is being issued beginning at 8:00 AM on December 14, 2020 to ensure the protection of public health in the Red River Regional Water System and associated water distribution systems including the Altona Water System. What does this mean for you? Starting on December 14, 2020, and until further notice, all water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least a minute before it is used for: drinking and ice making, beverage preparation (such as infant formula), preparing food, including washing fruits and veggies, and brushing teeth. It is not necessary to boil tap water used for other household purposes like laundry or dishwashing. Adults and older children that are able to avoid swallowing the water can wash, bathe or shower. Young children should be sponge bathed. If boiling isn't practical, an alternate and safe supply of water should be used for consumption (eg: bottled water). This advisory will remain in effect until at least Monday, December 21, 2020. We will notify you as soon as possible when the advisory has been rescinded.
