Cups. What are they for? HOT TIP! Bra cups can be added to your gown to fill out the cup of the bodice of your gown if you need a little more volume in the bust. Cups don't generally provide support to the bust, but enhance the look of the gown, or add a bit of cleavage in a well-structured gown.... Cups can also be added to a sheath gown when worn without a bra to provide some modesty and coverage. I generally recommend purchasing proper undergarments to wear under a wedding gown. Some wedding gowns are heavy, and need proper support to feel good when worn, and look good in photos. The undergarment should do the work of cinching and holding up, not the dress! Pressure on the zipper can cause a zipper to malfunction and break, and this can be an extremely frustrating situation. You also don't want to be pulling up your dress all day and night, and the function of a bustier-type undergarment is to support the weight of your gown from your hips, instead of dragging down your bust (who likes a saggy-looking bust?) When in doubt, request a consultation. I'd be happy to provide information as to which undergarments would best suit your wedding attire, or install cups into your gown. The more you know!

Two more projects are ready to head to their client's homes. A tutu for a special little girl's first birthday party, and a nap blankie for a little boy to take to junior kindergarten. It makes me feel pretty special to be part of these children's milestones even if in some minor way.
