Oscar-shortlisted CALL CENTER BLUES, directed by Geeta Gandbhir, is a lyrical portrait of an unlikely community of US deportees and their loved ones struggling to rebuild their lives in Tijuana. The film paints a picture of love, loss, and longing - for home, for an American Dream deferred, and for justice. Their stories expose the reverberations of deportation, displacement, family separation, and opportunistic capitalism. After premiering virtually at SXSW in 2020, CALL CENTER BLUES screened at over 30 international festivals, winning top honors at five. Distributed by Topic, the film is currently a Staff Pick on Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/505335690?ref=tw-share
