Happy BC Day long weekend! This week we started building a 4 foot high stone retaining wall in Sechelt. This wall will stretch over 2 adjoining properties when it is finished. We love working with neighbours to help bring their dreams to reality.

Ground water can be a serious problem when you live in a temperate rain forest. One of our clients had groundwater running towards their house every time it rained. We installed a 4" perforated drain pipe surrounded by drain rock (also known as 'French drain'). This pipe / rock carries water away from the house. Needless to say our client was extremely happy with the work and the dry conditions!

On this site the Always team is locating a broken sewer pipe Hydro-vac trucks like this are often used for finding sensitive utilities (e.g. high pressure gas, soft materials, or aging infrastructure). These machines are used over heavy equipment when delicacy is needed.

CAT is where it's at. We prefer #Caterpillar machinery because they make quality products that stand the test of time. Right now the Always Excavating fleet is 100% CAT, and growing bigger every year.

We love our attachments, and have many different tools to fit any job. This is a compactor, a.k.a a hoe-pack. This attachment is used for compressing materials so clients can build safely on the ground.

The Always snow-fleet, in all its glory! Our team helps to plow snow from the Vancouver International Airport. When it snows, we are there to make sure passengers can travel safely to their destinations. It doesn't snow often in Vancouver, but when it does it is kind of a big deal. #snowmageddon

This water main is over 100 years old! That's an old pipe! When it broke, our team gently and precisely dug this up and anchored it safely in a shoring cage before repairing it.

Breaker, breaker 1-9. We use breaker-attachments like this one to bust up concrete, asphalt and stone on work sites. Different attachments are handy to have when the going gets tough.

It's a tight squeeze but a perfect fit for our new lil' mini excavator. This is the best machine for driveways, landscaping, and all your residential needs.
