The marvels of Essiac Tea Some call it a medicine, but in all actuality and by definition it is food: Food: A natural substance or combination of bio-organic substances containing nutrients or nutritive products to:... * maintain and support living tissues * permit the regeneration of living cells * supply energy for the physiological equilibrium within an organism Drug: A substance or combination of substances, usually made of synthetic or isolated compounds and matter (other than food) that alters or modifies: * the physical state * the psychological state * the emotional state Remedy: A substance or combination of substances usually originating from a natural source that can correct the physiological equilibrium with an organism. Conclusion: Food can be remedial without being a drug. Essiac can be remedial and is not a drug." [ESSIAC ESSENTIALS, p. 75, 76] "We all have the right to benefit from Essiac because no one can stop us making it, no one can stop us taking it and no one can stop us deciding how and when we're going to do it." [THE ESSIAC BOOK by Mali Klein, 2006] Several years ago I was stricken with a chronic illness that took hold of my life and started a downhill momentum that I thought I would never be able to control again. For several years I battled not only the disease but the medications and all of their ill side effects. I started on four different medications some of which were immune suppressants and their wagon full of horrible side effects. After the three year mark I was up to over 16 different medications and I was still very ill with no light in sight. Fed up and desperate I came to the conclusion that I needed to take back control of my life. With hours upon hours of research I decided Essiac Tea was the first step I would take to try to heal myself. I was floored at the expense that one little packet of herbs could cost, but took the initial step and brewed my first batch of tea. It was easy and after the two weeks of drinking 2oz. morning and evening I started to feel better, not great but better. I needed more, and so the next search began, I found great suppliers of the four organic ingredients that I needed and the affidavit from Mary McPherson, Rene Caisse's assistant providing the exact recipe and instructions to make my own. I have been drinking Essiac Tea in three month intervals ever since, over four years now, and am happy to say disease free and no other medications. I have my life back. Essiac Tea is just not for the sick, but is a combination of organic foods that when concocted provide a mass of vitamins and minerals and healthy acids that promote health so that our bodies can heal itself. So any one of you that would like to try it please contact me or check out my web site www.always-organic.ca and I will be happy to supply you with an affordable supply of the Essiac Tea blend that is 100% organic.

Hello, I have recently had inquiries about the differences in the types of oils that are available in the current market and why the prices vary so much. First there is organic verses non organic, and does it really matter. My answer to this question is absolutely! Taking in to consideration that our skin is a sponge, and that everything we put on it ends up in our bloodstream. This is why medicinal patches work so well.... Knowing that the oils, butters and soaps, or anything that you put on your skin is not full of harmful chemicals some of which are known carcinogens is very important if you are health conscious. The second thing to consider when purchasing skin care or oil products is the grade. Not all are created equal. There are different extraction and refining methods that affect the quality of the oils. To help you better understand the different methods of extraction, not just for our oils , but also the methods of extraction throughout the entire industry, please read the information below. Here is a list that gives a brief explanation of the differences in Extraction and Refining Methods Cold Pressed: Low heat mechanical extraction where temperatures are rigorously controlled at 80-90F. Expeller Pressed: Produces pure oil through mechanical pressure with frictional heat from the press minimized to 120-200F. Unrefined: Mechanical screen filtering with no additional refining. Oil retains a rich, strong flavour and color that is true to its natural state. Partially Refined: Processing methods are used to stabilize oils that tend to go rancid quickly or to remove heavy odours and deep colors. Refined: Fully processed oil exposed to multiple methods of natural refinement which may include deodorization and bleaching with natural clays. The oils and butters offered at Always Organic are the most exquisite and purest oils available in the market. We purchase our oils from suppliers that have very high standards in sustainability and fair trade. We only sell oils that have been extracted through cold pressed and expeller pressed methods and will not sell oils that use solvent, hexane, or alcohol extraction, or any products that have been processed through heat intensive hydraulic extraction. These methods do not meet our quality standards and produce unhealthy oils. I hope this helps clarify the many differences in oil quality. My first rule of thumb is that if I can't eat it I don't want to put it on my skin. Stay tuned I will have more posts coming soon! .
