We are looking for skilled, enthusiastic seamstresses who are self-starting and can work unsupervised to sew corsets, costumes, alternative clothing and themed wedding gowns. Must speak fluent English. Fashion students if you have a reasonable amount of experience sewing can definitely apply. Most items are precut and would just need to be sewn together.... Must have own sewing machine, serger and workspace. Should be able to work with a wide variety of fabrics: Fabrics we use include velvets, stretchy fashion and dance fabrics, chiffons, organza, satin, PVC, faux leather, real leather, linen, silk, lace and pretty much everything else. If your machine cannot handle real leather or faux leather, we can still possibly use you but let us know. Specialized equipment like embroidery machines, coverstitch etc are not necessary but would be an asset. You would work for a pre-agreed price and would be paid by piece or by the job. We will let you know when items need to be completed by, but you would work your own hours from your own workspace. Job Type: Casual Salary: Is part time to start and works out to approximately $15.00-$20.00 per hour depending on how quick you are. We are also looking for people who have experience with pattern making and grading to help with design and cutting.
