1 in 4 Canadians aged 15 and older provide care to a family member or friend. This week's film features Alicia's grandson, Tyler, who takes us through a day with Alicia and the blessings that have come alongside the difficulties of living with Alzheimer's disease. We have been able to really manage with a lot of help from the Alzheimer Society. They have programs regularly which really increase her amount of social interaction and keep her stimulated, says Tyler.... The message from Alicia’s family members is loud and clearthis is not something that can be tackled alone. Please watch part 2 of our series, W is for Whale, here: https://bit.ly/watch-WIsForWhale

Huronia Rotary Club Cash Calendars for 2021 are ready for sale for next week! With every calendar sold by the Alzheimer Society and its volunteers, a minimum of $5 is donated to the Society to assist with local programs and services in Simcoe County. If we sell more than 100 calendars, the amount increases to $10 donated back to ASSC. Rotary Cash Calendars are a great Holiday Gift! Not only is it a calendar, it includes 365 chances to win cash prizes throughout the year! Plea...se consider supporting the Society by buying a calendar for only $20 or if you are interested in selling a few, please contact us at [email protected] There are over 10,000 people in Simcoe County living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. It is through the many fundraising events executed by the Alzheimer Society, and its volunteers, that we generate funds needed to help these individuals live well and thrive in our community. #Alzheimers #Rotary #Donate #NonProfit
