As a front-line health worker, you spend a great amount of time caring for those who are not able to care for themselves any longer. You may also be caregiving for your families, old and young. Sometimes self-care can fall to the wayside. In these current times with COVID-19 and the challenges it brings, it is more important than ever t...o engage in self-care. Join us for an evening of appreciation, and an exploration to recharge body, mind, and spirit through a cooking demonstration and mindfulness meditation. Guest Speaker 1: Executive Chef Glen Gardner Glen is a newly retired chef with over 40 years of experience working in a variety of fine dining establishments. During his career, he cooked for four prime ministers, premiers, and numerous VIPs and oversaw thousands of meals being served. Guest Speaker 2: Lisa Fitzwilliam Lisa is a Social Worker with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Currently, she facilitates a variety of support groups for care partners and provides counseling and dementia education for people living with dementia and mild cognitive impairment, as well as their care partners.
