New Years Day is fast approaching. After 2020 we can all use some self care. Join me New Year's Day for a compassionate self-love practice. Work is finished, presents are wrapped, groceries are bought and put away...now I am drinking almond nog in a warm Lush bath (thanks @oceanchilde ). Now that I can breathe fully, I just want to wish every single person some peace, joy, and well deserved rest this season. Whatever you celebrate or don't, know that things like love and community are things that can cross any barrier, even distance and separation. Grateful for every single person. OM anthi!

It's a rare and special day to catch all three of these young adults together at home. Usually work and school prevent it. We took advantage and put up the tree. What a present for a happy mama.

Today is the second day of Diwali, the joyful celebration of light over darkness, good over evil. The second day also happens to be the celebration of Dhanvantari, the father of Ayurveda. I have been blessed to study Ayurveda Foundations this whole year, in the midst of this chaos, and I can't describe how it has brought understanding and compassion to my overall health and wellbeing. It has brought some focus and stability in this year of uncertainty. Today I am cleaning m...y house and putting up lights to celebrate and I will be saying some mantra to this brilliant sage. May good health be yours as well. (Please excuse the lack of diacritical marks.
