In September APS was contracted to create Windstar Cruises new Alaskan itinerary video. This was a real treat to produce. Enjoy some big nature.

We were doing some video work in Golden Ears last weekend. Have you been? Golden Ears is a 24km backcountry trail that spans 1800m of elevation. This is one of the tallest mountains in the lower mainland and it was very challenging. You can do it in about 11-12 hours as a day trip, or as a more relaxed overnight. We were hoping for gorgeous blue skies, but were met with fog and mist shrouding everything instead. We made the best of it. Check it out. #goldenears #amberpacificstudios

During my recent visit to Bali, I partnered up with an amazing company called Plastic Bank. This is a Vancouver based social enterprise that is introducing recycling programs to underdeveloped countries around the world. Their mission is to prevent plastic from entering the oceans as well as to uplift and educate underdeveloped communities around the world on recycling. Locals can return used plastic in exchange for currency, or even household products. In poor neighbourhood...s, this has made an astonishing impact in the lives of those who participate AND cleans the environment. The unfortunate reality is that places like Indonesia have no form of recycling programs. Locals simply toss their unused plastic into the riverbeds, and when monsoon season begins the water rises and it's carried out to sea. We visited a local mangrove while there, the final barrier between the riverbed and the ocean... and the damage was catastrophic. I was very emotional shooting this piece. Anger. Sadness. In May of this year the Amber Pacific team shot a new feature trailer for Windstar Cruise's French Polynesia itinerary. Windstar is a boutique luxury cruise brand that operates all around the world, but what makes them unique are their beautiful sailing ships. We had the pleasure of capturing the Wind Spirit on her 7 day voyage throughout the various Society Islands including Tahiti, Bora Bora and Mo’orea (among others). We had an absolute blast working with Windstar and bringing this project to life. French Polynesia is a gem and nothing short of breathtaking the geography is striking and the water crystal clear.
