Find an Accountability Partner With 2019 around the corner it's time you stayed accountable for your goals. How? Your most effective tool moving forward is to have an accountability partner . What is an accountability partner?... This is a person who will do three things: ~~~Help you identify exactly what you want to accomplish in precise detail.~~~ ~~~Help verify the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goal.~~~ ~~~Make sure you stay on track.~~~ This person could be anyone you respect as long as they like to help others, is smart and well-organized. You are asking for a few hours upfront and maybe 15 minutes a week from this person. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. In the beginning you should spend an hour or two in order to agree on a plan. Then, brief 5 to 15 minute accountability conversation every week will suffice. It is their job to listen and provide helpful insign when able. Remember, it is your job is to check in and take direction. That's it! Having someone to report to for our longer term goals helps gives us motivation and momentum! #goals #achieve #marketing #leadership #succeed #achievegoals #organizational #yourfuture #amcservices

How does an organization become a great place to work? Here is a simple HR strategy to create a place where people want to work. 1. Culture Clearly define your culture. Identify and brand the mission, vision, values and behaviors. The culture shapes what is encouraged, discouraged, tolerated and rejected. ... 2. Performance Engagement To drive performance and build trust it is recommended that you improve the quality of the conversation between manager and employee. This is critical to developing a high-performance workforce and engaging your employees. 3. Candidate Experience Take a few minutes to explore your company’s online reviews and ratings. A large portion of candidates looked at Glassdoor before interviewing. Take action on what you learn from the online feedback. 4. Diversity And Inclusion As part of your diversity and inclusion strategy, invest the time to develop recruiting strategies, build internal community groups and a diversity leadership programs to not only recruit for the gaps that you have, but also to retain the top, diverse talent once you hire them. #marketing #leadership #business #officeculture #branding #employees #employers #amcservices

Overcoming Your To - Do List Have you ever heard of the Eisenhower Matrix? I'm sure I have posted similar charts to help you mentally map out your tasks. See the image attached and draw out the Matrix. Then visually identify what quadrant tasks fall into. This can become the framework for your work week. ... ~~Urgent And Important~~ Stop what you are doing immediately to attend to this task. Putting out fires usually. ~~Important, But Not Urgent, Tasks~~ It's not vital to complete these tasks today. But taking one or two of these items off your list helps with long term goal achievement. ~~Urgent, But Not Important, Tasks~~ You must take action within a specified time frame. But it is not today or tomorrow. These tasks usually do not get you closer to long term goals, delegate these out if you are able. ~~Not Urgent, Not Important~~ Usually well intentioned tasks but if you don't have the time or the resources maybe reconsider striking these off your to do list or delegating. Your goal is to spend most of your time in quadrant two. Important but not Urgent to support long term goals! Is this helpful? Did you try it? #organization #todolist #corporate #recruitment #holidaymadness #leadership #business #success #success #motivation #goals #inspiration

New Year New Job? First question to ask, Why do you want to change jobs? Before jumping into anything, sit down, relax, and write out your list of reasons.... Read through your list of reasons for wanting to leave and see if you can put each reason into one of these three categories: Within my manager’s ability to control Within my ability to control Fall outside my manager’s and my ability to control. Now I implore you to look at your situation from a different angle? Have you defined your career aspirations? Have you created a career development including action items? Have you shared this information with your manager and asked for support? You might think you need a new job but actually your reasons could turn out to be something within your ability to control . Changing your job is not the only way to a happier career. We believe the key is taking time to understand WHY you want the change and whether or not it's in your best interest. #careeradvice #careerdevelopment #growth #construction #amcservices #newyearnewjob #makingchanges #prosandcons #motivation #goals

Influence is not something you have, it is not innate. It is something you gain from other people. How so? You cannot have influence over people unless they (the people) allow you to influence them. Here is one of three tips to being influential. 1. Being Known - increase the recognition of your name and personal brand or 'visibility 'through organizations in your network. Socialize and build close relationships. Let these people get to know you and at the same time exercise... your socializing skills. People are more likely to be influenced by someone they know, then a stranger. #marketing #leadership #success #sales #entrepreneur #networking #career #growth #learning #development #amcservices #workplace #confidence #influencermarketing

The Confirmation Bias Trap One of the ways we can get into trouble at work is to prefer information that confirms what they already believe, even if the information is irrelevant or wrong. Psychologists call this confirmation bias, and we all do it. ... We pay more attention to information that confirms our preconceptions, and we ignore or marginalize information that would negate our preconceptions. What sticks in our mind are facts that support our existing beliefs. Those facts give us pleasure because they confirm that we are right. We don’t like that other stuffthose messy facts that contradict what we believebecause they cause anxiety and doubt. So we selectively ignore them, downplay their importance, or push them conveniently under the rug where they won’t bother us anymore. Can you see how someone at the leadership level with more Confirmation Bias then Self Awareness can cause companies great loss? Have you seen examples of Confirmation Bias in your work space? #marketing #leadership #business #success #bias #decisionmaking #influencer #rightandwrong #alwaysright #career #growth #learning #amcservices
