Today we lost my grandmother unexpectedly. I’m grieving the loss of her, the glue that hold this family together, but also her knowledge and stories. I helped her with english classes to get her GED after my grandpa passed away. But I always wanted to help write her story. To honour her memory, I vow to write a collection of short stories for her + the family. Edit: also digitizing her albums and making her recipe box a cookbook. I’m going to be busy for a while. Hold me to it!!

This is something we talked about with A when she would come home crying that people didn’t like her We don’t have to like everyone, but we do have to try a...nd be kind to everyone. Not everyone is mine or your cup of tea and that’s okay. It’s been an interesting year so far with cohorts and kids really being stuck to playing with just the kids in their class that’s for sure.
