Meet our newest instructor Kirstin Amundrud Performance, expression of movement, fitness and dance are the things Kirstin is most passional about. That, and her love of cats. She grew up performing in jazz, ballet, hip hop and lyrical. After completing an Undergraduate Arts Degree at UBC, she fell in love with Victoria 10 years ago and started up her long-lasting love affair again with dance and fitness, completing her BCRPA in Fitness Theory, Group Fitness, and Weight Trai...ning. She then branched out to teach Spin and Barre as well as exotic dance classes. She finds that being able to express through movement and music and sharing that joy with her students is the best thing about teaching. That, and making them sweat! She strives to find that balance of challenging, empowerment, and enjoyment to make the best out of each class. Kirstin will be one of our new Barre instructors! We are so excited to have this talent joining our little Amethyst family. Many of you may already know this gem from the Victoria fitness scene. The classes were so beginner friendly (while still having classes for all levels), the instructors warm and inviting, and the studio space beautiful. Since then I have been attending all sorts of classes every week, with a particular affinity for aerial hoop classes with Eve Carty.
