Happy mother's day to all the awesome moms out there, without you there would be no us. We owe our mother's gratitude and it may not be a normal mother's day but it doesn't mean we appreciate our moms any less. Together we are strong.

I have come across this tonight and I just want to make it clear David Wharram has nothing to do with this page, his group was founded and then closed in hopes that the key players would be safe to slander and lie about administration and those in town they hate. This page is here to hold our town accountable without playing a dirty game. Also this comes as a warning you are not free to spout off lies and you better be prepared to defend or have proof of any and all allegations. During this time lets come together and stop with all the negative comments. I am seeing daily bashing of our adminstration just STOP already. Enough is enough. No one was prepared for this and unless you have the solution STOP using your keyboard to be a warrior. We need to come together, support our town, if you have solutions or ideas give them to the town instead of complaining about what they could be doing. It's time to shelf the hate and come together as a community. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Sometimes it takes a bit a kindness to help an unkind person.

It would be great if some in this town would understand this. You say it you better be able to prove it.

A few people should be reminded of this.

As we are coming closer to Christmas Day!

Seems like taking away the negative will gain you positives. Something to think about.

Seeing this alot lately. Lies hurt the ones you lie to and the ones you lie about, mostly they hurt the liar because eventually you will never be trusted. The truth will eventually come out and people will learn and see for themselves that all the words spoken are nothing but lies.

Seems to be a normal activity by a select few.

Posting this because when an association says they speak for all their members but do not allow all members a vote or an opinion, they are taking our rights away, they are silencing our opinions. The choice is ours residents of Amherstburg. We can join a group who will take our rights away or we can fight to have this group abolished on the grounds that if you join you give them YOUR freewill and YOUR right to YOUR own opinion.

What a great way to THINK before you speak. We are all human and make mistakes but it seems a few are always apologizing because they are not THINKing before speaking/typing. The T could be put to use in most of these cases.

Sometimes it is hard, but a peaceful life is far better than a negative one. I know this page has taken a few attacks by those fearful of becoming positive but this page just wants a peaceful and positive Amherstburg.

Remembrance Day a day to remember our fallen heroes and their sacrifices so we can have our freedoms. Its also a day to pay our respects to those still with us. Without our veterans we wouldn't have what we have. Lest We Forget.

Isn't this the truth. We do not have to get along with everyone, its fine to not like every single person you come across. Its what you decide to do with your dislike that tells people the type of person you are.

Exaggerating to make a point doesn't make the point, it makes your argument weak and false.

Let that sink in. It cost nothing to be a good person.

We can disagree with kindness we just need to find it in ourselves

So if thoughts have energy and your thoughts are always negative then what? Negative energy seems like a waste of energy.

It is safe to say this quote rings very true. We should all remember none of us are perfect.

Congratulations to all the candidates. You put in alot of hardwork and effort, so win or lose thank you for wanting to represent the constituents. Lets just be respectful to our newly elected officials whether we voted for them or not, the people spoke.
