Well, we made it.... Not gonna lie... I was a bit doubtful in the summer of whether we'd stay in school all the way to Christmas and I'm so happy we did. Your kids rocked the mask wearing and extra cleaning. Before I get completely immersed in the holidays and forget, I wanted to ask you to check out the new food menu beginning in January. The deadline to order for the first 2 weeks will fall over the holidays so don't miss out. It sounds absolutely delicious, both the regular and vegetarian options. Happy holidays to you and yours!

Rascal has been in quarantine ever since returning from the North Pole (Day 10 of 14). He has been isolating in the front trophy case of the school. This afternoon once everyone left he found a safe way to sneak out and check on the progress of the Cohort Cart Challenge food drive. He wanted to remind you that tomorrow is the last day to bring in any non perishable food items or household products. TIA #quarentarium

After several near misses, we are asking that no dogs be taken to our playground at anytime. Doggy messes and kids don't mix well! Thanks for your understanding. We do realize that not all of the dog owners that have been using our grounds are ACC parents, so please spread the word and share this post to the broader community.

Parent Teacher Interviews The first round of PT Interviews is coming up next week and the schedule is now available for sign up at https://signup.com/go/ATsYBxc There are some special precautions that must be followed according to the CPHO/PSB/DELL. We ask that you take special care to follow these directions. - All staff and parents are required to wear non-medical masks, except when seated a minimum of 6-feet apart during the interview. - Only one parent/guardian per chi...ld should be in attendance (we will make exceptions when necessary) - No students or other children should be in attendance. - Parents should limit their time at the school to the interview time in order to minimize the number of people in the school at a given time. - Student-led conferences should not be held at this time. - Parents are not required to sign in at the entrance but are expected to sign in with every teacher they meet. Instead of sending home paper newsletters, we are sending weekly emails (typically on Monday mornings) with any important upcoming news and dates. If you are not receiving these emails, or need them sent to an additional email address, please contact the school and let us know.

Yummy Update! I wanted to encourage everyone to take another look at the upcoming food menus. The pilot schools (us and a small handful of others) are trying out some new offerings on the days that were less popular. The original items will still be available but there will be sandwich options included on two days each week. They include a pulled pork sandwich, grilled cheese with real cheddar, a roast turkey pita wrap, and a chicken ranch wrap! They all sound delicious! A big thanks to the coordinators and chefs for making this happen!

Tomorrow marks two important days at ACC. September 30th is Canada's national recognition of the harm that residential schools did to our first Nations populations, also known is Orange Shirt Day. . Tomorrow also happens to be the day that we have organized their annual Terry Fox walk and students are invited to wear a hat and make a donation ($2 suggested) to help fight cancer. Hoping to see lots of orange shirts or other orange clothing and hats tomorrow.
