That pesky Lion was back in Ridge Park in Amherstview scaring the squirrels so badly that they were running around like mad! Of course that may be because the squirrels were storing nuts for winter.

Did you see this? Amherstview Resident Lion Wayne Weber in costume is pointing at the plaque beside the Lions bench installed in Ridge Park just off Kildare Avenue in Amherstview. The plaque states: This bench is dedicated to KFL&A Health Care Workers and Volunteers. In our time of fear and anxiety there were those who faced this adversity and uncertainty with devotion, emotion, and steadfast resolve. They were our champions who fought this scourge. With their care we were able to reach the new tomorrow. With thanks from the Amherstview Lions Club. June, 2021.

After careful consideration the Amherstview Lions Club has cancelled the following events in the fall of 2020 for safety as a result of Covid-19: The Santa Claus Parade, Santa’s Breakfast, The Seniors’ Euchre Party and The Car Show.

Do you realize that under the direction of Lisa Walton Lionhearts serve 250 - 300 meals three nights a week at the Amherstview Community Hall? The Amherstview ...Lions Club donated $250 to this worthy cause. In addition the Amherstview Lions donated $476.85 to the VON of Greater Napanee in order to provide 92 nutritious, delicious meals for 92 Seniors in Amherstview in the month of June! Even in these challenging times the Amherstview Lions continue to serve! See more
