The chicharron is a popular finger-food snack not only in the Philippines but in other parts of the world with Spanish influence, Latin America and southwestern United States. Different variations of this dish include pork, mutton and even tuna, deep fried to a crispy and puffy state after the rinds have b...een seasoned. Fun fact: one of the owners of AMIHAN used to make and distribute pork chicharon to Filipino restaurants and shops in Calgary. Our OKOY uses Canadian-grown and harvested ingredients cooked using the traditional method of cooking this popular dish.
