Is what you know about Bill C-15 myth or reality?

Desmond Cole punctures "the bubble of Canadian smugness and naive assumptions of a post-racial nation" and has created "a comprehensive picture of entrenched, systemic inequality... a vital text for anti-racist and social justice movements in Canada." Recommended by our new Secretary-General Ketty Nivyabandi. Pick up a copy, download this discussion guide, and take action to stop anti-Black racism and over-policing in Canada!

Farzana Doctor is the Toronto-based author of four novels: Stealing Nasreen, Six Metres of Pavement (which won a 2012 Lambda Literary Award, was short-listed for the 2012 Toronto Book Award and was the One Book One Brampton 2017 winner), All Inclusive (a Kobo and National Post Best Book of the Year), and Seven. Seven, just released, has just been named a Chapters-Indigo Best Book of 2020. The Globe and Mail listed it as a Best Independent Read to Pick Up This Fall, and Ms. M...agazine called it fully feminist and ambitiously bold. Farzana is also an activist, part-time psychotherapist, and amateur tarot card reader. In this session, Farzana Doctor will speak to her new book Seven, which is also shortlisted for the Amnesty International Canada Book Club’s reader’s choice for the November/December book selection. The subject of the book is intense but Farzana Doctor is warm and vibrant, so come with your strongest cup of coffee and expect great discussion.
