The Bathurst Police Force is investigating a theft of (10) LED Flood lamps, taken from the Tennis court located on the property of the Place Des Jeunes School on St Anne Street, in Bathurst, NB. The theft is believed to have occurred between February 28th and March 8th, 2020 while students and teachers were away for March Break. A substantial amount of damage was done to the property as a result of the theft. Gulls smashed by a vehicle... take two DID ANYONE SEE THIS HAPPEN? This morning, Dec 26 (Boxing Day) someone hit another group of Gulls (Herring and Great Black-back Gulls) in the side parking lot of Champlain Mall between TD and Great Canadian Bagel. We arrived on site at 11am, 4 Gulls were killed, and a 5th is badly injured and most likely won't survive. PLEASE CALL CODIAC RCMP at 506-857-2400 or NB CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) if you have any information! This is almost two months to the day when we responded to 31 Gulls hit at the Moncton Coliseum on Oct 27th. If you have any information about either incident or ever see someone harming wildlife, PLEASE report it ASAP!

We apologize for the error. --...------------------------- A 51-year-old man from Upper Coverdale, N.B., has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the homicide of a 19-year-old man. On October 13, 2019, at around 10:15 p.m., the Southeast District RCMP received a report of someone causing a disturbance at a residence on Osprey Road in Upper Coverdale. When police arrived, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital, where he later died from his injuries. A 51-year-old man was arrested at the scene. On the evening of October 14, Donald Kyle appeared before a judge by way of a tele-remand. He was charged with the first-degree murder of Evan Straight, also of Upper Coverdale. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on October 16 at 1:30 p.m.
