Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for shopping small! Nothing makes us happier than walking around the village and seeing lines outside of small local shops. We understand that waiting in line isn’t how you might want to spend a sunny Saturday or rainy Tuesday but we appreciate your patience. Remember you are waiting in line to keep others safe, to support an independent female owned business, to help pay the wages of the sweet staff members inside & to support a local small business during a global pandemic. Thank you! (: @lilyandval)

Meet the Maker! When Susan isn’t sewing she’s cooking a good meal & chilling with her favourite show. She’s been sewing since 8 years old & her love for making started with weekends spent at her Nana’s. She has a diploma in Fashion design from Kwantlen College, a small children’s wear business with a good friend & was a costume maker in the film industry! She’s worn many hats & is a woman of many talents. We’re so grateful for all her hard work sewing masks to help keep our village safe! Staff members have mentioned seeing lots of people wearing masks in the village they know were bought at A Monkey Tree & made by Susan. It’s a nice way of bringing the community together during these trying times! You can find her beautifully made reusable masks at our shop. We are currently restocked in Holiday & every day printed masks!
